In honor of Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark, the founder of the term osseointegration, Neoss is hosting the second annual webinar on May 3rd 2022, to celebrate the late professor’s birthday. Brånemark was born May 3rd in 1929, in Karlshamn, Sweden, and started his career as a physician rather than a dentist. It wasn’t until 1953 when Brånemark experienced the calamity of a nurse losing her false teeth accidentally, that he decided to solve the issue of edentulousness. From this point forward, his passion for patient care led him to dentistry, always putting the patient at the forefront of his thinking.
To mark Brånemark’s achievements in raising the standard of care for patients worldwide, Dr. Marcelo Ferraz de Oliveria who worked with Brånemark for over 22 years, both in Gothenburg Sweden and Bauru Brazil will be hosting this year’s unmissable webinar.
Dr. Oliveria will focus his presentation on Brånemark’s forward-thinking and innovative approach to dentistry, touching on the wonderful impact he has had on the health of dental patients, especially in Bauru and Brazil.
