Dr. Marcelo Ferraz de Oliveria is a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist with three decades of excellence care in complex cleft palate and facially disfigured cancer patients, using the principles of Osseointegration. He graduated 1989 as Doctor of Dental Surgery at Dental Faculty of Valença, RJ. Brazil. 1994 he received a scholarship from the Institute for Applied Biotechnology (Gothenburg, Sweden) to work alongside Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark and then went on to study at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and graduated as a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. Dr. Oliveira worked for 22 years as a Researcher and Clinician with Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark in Gotheburg, Sweden and Bauru Brazil with the Development of Craniomaxillofacial restorative techniques and the Training & Education Modules as Standard of care for patients worldwide. He is also the co-author of several international publications, helped develop social projects improving access to oral health care for the vulnerable community, and regularly presents on a global scale. Today Dr. Oliveira works in Toronto, Canada with a focus on Clinical Engagement and Practice Development.
